Amazon is testing 'Kindle Kiosks' in a further incursion into off-line retailing.
The vending machines which sell everything from the Kindle Fire HDX to a $20 Kindle adapter and covers are understood to have been made available at big events, shopping malls and airports.
One such machine has been spotted at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport which was installed last week. But the trial is understood to have been in operation since November, according to Geekwire.com.
The kiosk is identical to ones used in temporary Amazon pop-up stores over the Christmas period, as reported in the Wall Street Journal.
