Next Beats Asos To Win Festive Online War

Clothing retailer Next attracted the most shopper visitors during December as British consumers flocked to the internet to buy clothing.

According to figures from industry market share tracker comScore, the retailer received 5.1 million visitors during the month topping the list of online fashion retailers. The score beat fashion phenomenon Asos into second place with 4.1 million visitors.

Sir Philip Green's Arcadia Group, which includes TopShop and Dorothy Perkins, received the third largest share with 3.6 million visitors followed by New Look and River Island.

Casual and sports site MandMDirect.com and fast growing young fashion site Boohoo.com also made the festive top ten.
