Morrisons Defector George Dymond Turns Up At Tesco

Morrisons former online boss George Dymond has accepted a key role at Tesco just weeks after his shock departure from Morrisons last month.

Dymond was poached by the Bradford-based chain from Australian retail giant Coles but only spent two weeks at Morrisons before he left. The site had been launched in the second week of January.

He has been appointed operations development director at Tesco, according to the Grocer magazine.

It is understood that he was given a position to run Morrisons' new web site day-to-day but had been disappointed with his remit once he arrived because it was too operational.

Morrisons has been struggling to turn its business round and has been criticised for being late launching its online business compared to other supermarkets.
