Boohoo.com Tries Attracting Young Men

Boohoo.com is poised to begin airing its first television advert dedicated to menswear this week as it readies the business for a stock market listing.

The new advert launched this weekend on Boohoo's You Tube channel promoting the Spring-Summer clothing collection and it will begin appearing on television from tomorrow. Channels including Sky Sports and Dave will be targeted.

Boohoo launched menswear in July for the first time and saw an uplift over Christmas as its female shoppers grabbed items for their other-halves. However, the new campaign will aim to appeal more directly to men as Boohoo tries to broaden its appeal.

The website's founders Carol Kane and Mahmud Kamani are planning to launch and IPO in the coming weeks which will see Boohoo's shares traded on the Aim market by the end of March.
