Fantasy gaming store Games Workshop said online sales increased 9.9 per cent to £14.4 million as it plans a 'fully operational' web site next year.
Online sales, which increased from 13.1 per cent last year, accounted for 10.7 per cent of revenue at the business in the year to June 2.
Total sales increased 2.7 per cent to £134.6 million although the figure was slightly improved if currency exchange rates over the year had stayed the same. It said its Black Library and Forge World divisions boosted sales as did its US unit while the UK and Europe fared less well.
During the year it built a new online shop that it will test through the year and fully launch in April 2014.
'The online world is in constant flux. New things become possible, new ways of behaving become the norm, legislation requires extra safeguards, and so on. We need to continually invest and change to ensure it remains a pleasant shopping experience for our customers,' said chairman and acting chief executive Tom Kirby.
Group profit before tax increased 9.7 per cent to £21.4 million.
