My-Wardrobe.com's Carmen Borgonovo Departs After Only A Year

My-Wardrobe.com fashion director Carmen Borgonovo has left after only a year at the company.

Borgonovo joined last year to reorganise the fashion offer. But My-Wardrobe collapsed into administration in November amid intense online competition and suggestions that the business was losing touch with its core shoppers.

The firm was acquired by Growth Capital Acquisitions in a pre-pack administration deal and chief executive David Worby left the business.

New recruits since then have included head of sales and marketing Sacha Newall, formerly promotions manager at Daily Mail, and Charlotte Fairbairn as web and business development manager from Tesco Direct.

A statement released by My-Wardrobe said: 'Carmen Borgonovo, fashion director for My-Wardrobe.com, has resigned from the business and has decided to pursue other opportunities in the fashion, retail and digital sector. Everyone at My-Wardrobe.com wishes her well in this new chapter of her career.'

Her duties will be absorbed by existing members of the My-Wardrobe team. Prior to My-Wardrobe, Borgonovo worked at American Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar UK.
