Missguided - What's With The Outages?

Missguided.co.uk has suffered a number of outages this week following the launch of its tie-up with celebrity Nicole Scherzinger.

We understand the launch of the range on March 11 by the Pussycat Dolls singer and X-Factor judge has been phenomenally successful. Could the sudden jump in traffic to the already busy site explain the number of times the site has been down over the past few days?

It's not ideal for the company but given the levels of press Scherzinger has created promoting the range we think it's perhaps unsurprising. Articles in the Daily Mail, Metro and the Evening Standard would be fantastic drivers to any site and could easily explain the company's difficulty coping with the resulting interest and demand.

Customer service advisers took to Missguided's social media outlets yesterday morning for what we think was at least the third time this week to apologise for 'essential maintenance work'.

The site appeared to be down for at least two or three hours and followed similar messages on Monday and Wednesday.

The message on Wednesday  26th read: 'Maintenance work is being carried out on the site over the next few hours. Thanks for your patience & sorry for any inconvenience caused!'
