Grazia Magazine Prepares to Launch Online Shop

Grazia has appointed a head of fashion buying in a newly created role prompting speculation that it is preparing to launch an online shop.

Mark Bage was formerly chief executive officer at independent shop and luxury online phenomenon before it hit trouble and was acquired by The Hut Group last year.

He has been appointed to the role that will include 'overseeing the buying and merchandising functions at Grazia international Network'. Bage is expected to target a similar range of brands in the premium to luxury level.

He is the second former Coggles executive to be recruited by Grazia after the appointment of its chief operating officer Richard Hatfield who joined as a project director last year.

At York-based Coggles, Bage ran a business of 70 people with a turnover of £8.5 million. He is also working on a project to launch a new web site for Evisu which is part of a repositioning of the brand.
