The service will mean alerts will hit customers 12 hours earlier than previously. They will also be able to a access ‘'in flight' delivery options in order to specify certain delivery options.
These will include: delivery to a safe location, collection from the nearby depot, delivery to a neighbour, changing the delivery date or the possibility of upgrading to a service such as pre-10 am delivery or Saturday delivery.
The plan follows the launch last June of 15-minute delivery slots and the Follow My Parcel service that means customers can organise their lives around a delivery and waste less time.
Asos director of delivery solutions Matt Rogers said: 'We're constantly looking for ways to fine tune the customer experience. For us, making sure customers receive their goods promptly and safely is every bit as important as being able to find what they want on the site in the first place.'
He said: 'We know a lot of customers can make arrangement the night before if they know exactly when a parcel is coming. Equally, things can change, so to be able to offer five different real-time delivery options right up until 15 minutes before the driver arrives at your door is a fantastic advantage too.'
