GoDaddy's new online store is expected to launch imminently in a bid to provide a stripped-down rival rival Shopify.
The Godaddy store front will replace the company's existing ecommerce builder QuickShoppingCart, according to Techcrunch.
Godaddy told the site it will officially launch the new shop builder later this week which it says will be a simpler offer targeting small business customers. It includes a number of templates with various layouts.
Sandeep Grover at GoDaddy told Techcrunch: 'There are a lot of ecommerce sites out there, including our own [QuickShopCart] which are extremely complicated.'
He said small business owners don't necessarily have 'the time or resources to learn technicalities' of building a site using existing software.
