Asda Hails Tube Station Click And Collect A Success

Grocer Asda has declared its trial of collection points at London Underground stations a success and plans to open more.

Asda operates click and collect points for groceries at six sites and chief executive Andy Clarke told the London Evening Standard the service had worked 'better than expected'.

He said: 'Every week has been better and better. Customers are really embracing click and collect.'

Asda delivers to East Finchley, Harrow and Wealdstone, High Barnet, Highgate, Stanmore and Epping.

Last week Tesco launched its first Underground collection point and plans to open five more. Waitrose also plans to open a similar number.

London Underground has identified 60 possible sites all of which are in existing space in Tube Station car parks.
